BFIC Minutes - June 10, 2010.

Members attending: Becky Kuithe, Clyde McKenzie, Brian Fanguy, Rombelto Medrano, John Bedford, Pat Ojobara Others attending: Yuan Nguyen, Ana Morfin Meeting was called to order @ 7:40 PM

Minutes of previous meeting were read and approved. Treasurer's report was presented and accepted.

New Business: Yuan Nguyen (homeowner @ 11619 Bandlon) brought architectural drawing of proposed circular driveway. She is seeking BFIC board approval to have driveway installed. Proposal was accepted and passed with unanimous board approval. Ana Morfin (homeowner @ corner of High Star and Carnelian also seeks board approval for extending her driveway due to street flooding problem when it rains. Because of the major gas line that runs through our neighborhood along High Star, Mrs. Morfin was advised she had to contact the gas utility company before any plans to dig in that area. She was advised to get their approval, draw up her proposed driveway extension, and bring that information to the board next month. P. Ojobara voiced her concern about an abandoned house on her street (Cinnabar) and 2 streetlights that are inoperative. She will call 311 with her concerns.

Old Business: J. Bedford gave report re No Parking in Yard Application. During the past month, newsletters were mailed to all homeowners, 8 signs were posted thru out the neighborhood, and the information was posted on our web site. 2 homeowners have protested and a hearing is scheduled for 6-30-10 @ 3PM @ 900 Bagby. He will contact our attorney to request his attendance @ the meeting and all board members should plan to attend. Everyone was encouraged to get as many other homeowners who support the ordinance to also attend. R. Medrano reports the chain link fence and the club house roof have been repaired. He has also received one bid to install 2 new light poles on the pool grounds. Each pole would have 2 lights on it. The bid was > $5,000. He will get a second bid this next week. The continuing odor problem from the restrooms was discussed. There is a possibility that mildew/mold is causing the problem. Another cause might be the broken urinal. C. McKenzie needs help in staffing the pool on Sundays. Y. Ngugen agreed to be a member of the BFIC board. She was nominated and voted in unanimously. Everyone was reminded that Heavy Trash pickup will be next Thursday. This month is junk trash.

Meeting was adjourned @ 8:40 PM.
