BFIC Minutes - February 12, 2009

Members attending: John Bedford, Becky Kuithe, Brian Fanguy, Clyde McKenzie, Pat Ojobara, Rajesh Karee Others attending: Ada Palmer, Miguel Madrid, Carlos Calderon, Walter Cushman, Sachi Takase

Meeting was called to order @ 7:40 PM by J. Bedford, President Minutes of previous meeting were presented and accepted.

Treasurer's report: No formal report available this month. J. Bedford reports our bank balance is currently $40,007.92 with 24 maintenance accounts still due.

New Business: Pool drain modifications to meet new federal guidelines: B. Fanguy contacted Leslie Pools. They came out, inspected our pool, and determined that we need 3 new drains to meet the mandated guidelines. This will cost $1507.99. A motion was made, seconded, and passed unanimously to have Leslie Pools do this work. Parking on lawns - According to the new city ordinance, parking on lawns will be prohibited if a subdivision votes to be include in this prohibition. A motion was made, seconded, and passed unanimously for Brays Forest to opt into this ordinance. The BFIC board will have a working meeting on February 22, 2009 @ 1:30 PM to mail out a newsletter to inform homeowners of this new ordinance.

Old Business: J. Bedford gave a report re delinquent maintenance fees. M. Madrid checked on the status of payment for 2 of his friends - both payments have been received. C. Calderon questions his delinquency status. Since his account has been turned over to Holt & Young, he was advised to contact them immediately and make an appointment to talk with them. They have Spanish speaking employees for anyone who needs help with translation. M. Madrid was encouraged to become a board member. He promised to consider this request. B. Fanguy reminded everyone that junk trash pickup is next Thursday.

Meeting was adjourned @ 9:00PM.
