BFIC Minutes - October 9, 2008
Members attending: Brian Fanguy, Steve Sherman, Pat Ojobara, Becky Kuithe, Rombelto Medrano Others attending: Maureen Fanguy
Meeting was called to order @ 7:50 PM Minutes of previous meeting were read and accepted. Treasurer's report was presented and accepted.
Old Business: B. Fanguy reports that he contacted 2 fence companies to get a bid on putting up an 8 foot privacy fence behind the cyclone fence at the back of the pool property. He was unable to get anyone to come out to give an estimate @ this time. Other things that we need to spend money on before the end of the year include the following: 1) Ceiling sheetrock in hallway needs repair 2) Hallway wall is water damaged & needs repair 3) Area near double doors needs to be checked to see what is wrong 4) Suspected underground water leak related to pool plumbing or building settlement needs to be investigated and repaired if needed.
New Business: S. Sherman reports that there is a proposition on 11-4 ballot re HCC. He wants people to be aware that if it is passed it will cost each homeowner approx. $90/year more in taxes. P. Ojobaro supports the proposition & feels it will benefit many Alief families. A discussion was held re turning off pool pumps during the winter months to save electricity. M. Fanguy suggests putting chlorine tabs in floaters every 2 weeks. B. Fanguy suggests turning off 1 pump. R. Medrano will try to talk to the pool man this Saturday. S. Sherman asks if anyone has a tennis court key. B. Fanguy will check to see if he has one. J. Bedford may have one.
